Tactile Vision Inc. has been producing materials for the Visually Impaired for a number of years. Our printing technique was specifically developed to provide an efficient and economic method of producing raised print images of the graphic content which is now so prevalent in printed materials. All materials in the New Product Line are produced with this raised printing technique. All print letters and numbers are raised and can be touched as well as seen. All images are shown by raised lines and textures. The raised line letters and images provide tactile input which enhances learning. The tactile stimulation encourages focus on the task at hand and increases attention time span. Greater attention to a task often decreases awareness of other external stimulation. Yet those who crave certain types of sensory input are satisfied by positive stimulation. Products including raised letters, numbers and lines have been found useful in the development of fine motor skills. The use of print materials which stimulate the tactile sense improves success in the learning situation and in turn builds positive self-esteem. We always strive to provide effective materials and are therefore pleased to receive comments which would help us improve our products. Title:  Who's the Tallest Description: Three animal friends aim to prove each is the tallest until Cheeky tricks his 2 friends and shows them he's the tallest. The raised line images are accompanied by print text. An Audio Cassette of the story is also included. Two pages include brief braille labels. Title:  Teddy Bear Set Description: This set provides an attractive introduction to drawing body parts. As the story develops, a picture of a teddy bear emerges, one element at a time helping the child understand how different parts of the body are related to one another. A set of magnetic tiles which can be assembled to make a teddy, provide an intermediate step between tactile drawings and a real teddy bear. Tactile flashcards and a cassette recording are included in the set. Raised Image Stickers Description: 30 round stickers ( 1.5" diameter) of the same design are printed on a pre-cut colored label stock sheet. The following designs are available: SR-101 Star SR-102 Heart SR-103 Maple Leaf SR-104 Daisy SR-105 Shamrock SR-106 Happy Face SR-107 Christmas Tree SR-108 Music Note Title: Let's Count Description: Children learn to count to 10 by touching a raised print number or numbers and a raised line drawing(s) of a corresponding number of objects. Title: Find The Shapes Description: Children can "feel" 10 simple shapes. Each page includes a raised line drawing of one shape as well as the name of the shape in raised print letters. Title: Tactile Alphabet Cards Description: The letters of the Alphabet are shown in raised print on 4.5" by 5.6" cards.
