About Tactile Vision

Tactile Vision Inc is dedicated to producing printed materials for individuals with Special Needs. The goal of the company is to provide resources and tools which assist those with special challenges achieve greater educational outcomes, be more effective in the workplace and experience greater enjoyment.

These materials are produced by a raised printing method developed by Tactile Vision Inc. This process involves the deposition of a polymer on a wide range of papers.

The main feature of materials produced at Tactile Vision Inc. is a tactile representation of an image. Tactile graphics provide print information not accessible to the Visually Impaired and additional sensory input for individuals with other special challenges.

Edward Anczurowski, Ph.D., P.Eng., President

After completing studies in chemistry and chemical engineering, Edward Anczurowski spent his working career in research in paper, polymers and printing. In recent years he developed the printing technique used by Tactile Vision Inc. Ed continues to oversee production and is involved in research of new developments in printing and colour.

Cecelia Anczurowski, M Sc, Vice President

Cecelia Anczurowski has taught at several grade levels and has also been involved in Special Education. Upon retirement, Cecelia joined her husband, Ed, in his work for the community of persons with Disabilities. Her duties include management of Tactile Vision Inc. as well as the development of materials.
